A stroll on horseback, mainly walking, occasionally trotting. This is ideal for first timers.
This is for a more experienced rider, over more challenging terrain. Includes more trotting and cantering and can be tailored to your needs.
If you are just starting up or want to fine-tune your riding on one of our Centre horses, we offer lessons for a range of abilities.
These are an ideal introduction to being on horseback to see if you and your children enjoy it. Taster sessions are excellent for your 'little ones' and also for 'bigger ones' who are apprehensive about booking in for a full trek.
These are proving to be very popular, usually for birthdays or special occasions. Your private group of children will have a great session which includes grooming, bonding, tacking up, demonstration of basic riding skills and a short ride.
Hen and Stag Parties
Your own private group and a ride which is tailored to individual needs. For example we can stop for a glass of bubbly. Fancy dress is optional, but always great fun.
Pub or Picnic Rides
These are run over a full day and the routes can be structured for experienced or novice riders, or a mixture of both. We have a lunchtime stop for either an al fresco picnic enjoying the tremendous views, or a comforting pub lunch.
We offer overnight accommodation for your horse, leaving you free to enjoy the fine accommodation and dining in this area. We stable your horse overnight, ready for you to re-join him in the morning to explore the fantastic countryside of Powys and Monmouthshire.
Basic Pony Care
Is your child 'pony obsessed' and constantly nagging you for a pony? Would you like to give them more of an insight into the care and responsibilities of looking after a pony, in a fun and safe environment? We offer regular pony care days during the school holidays, where your child can learn all about caring for a pony including;
- Horse Handling
- Feeding and watering
- Tack cleaning
- Mucking out
- Bonding and respect
- Learning to "speak pony"
Horse Therapy Sessions
These wonderful sessions have taken off from observing the holistic and health benefits of the interaction between our lovely horses and ponies and the individuals and groups that have come to ride them.
Over time, we noticed that those of our clients with particular needs, such autism, aspergers, depression, social isolation and ADHD, have benefited tremendously from their time spent interacting with our patient, loving and empathetic horses and ponies.
As a result, we are now delighted to be offering structured therapy sessions with the horses, tailored to the specific needs of our clients. Please do not hesitate to contact us to discuss your specific needs. This is a very satisfying part of our work.
